There are many reasons of this error. If you are a member of windows domain environment and your domain administrator has implemented few group policies then you have to request him/her to give you permission but if you are not a domain member or were a domain member and now there is no policy implemented on your system then you have to check your local group policies. Still if there is nothing in the group policy then please follow the under given instructions to use the DVD/CD ROM on your system.
- Go to device manager
- Remove the CD/DVD Drive driver
- Reinstall the driver
Check again. it will work
