how to stop windows restart after installation of automatic updates

Installation of automatic updates is not bad for any computer but the poor thing in windows is that it restart the system after installation of automatic updates that really sucks and create annoying behavior sometimes. I hate this when your system pop up again and again and try to push you for a system reboot even you are in a middle of really very important work. I googled this thing and found a very good solution to prevent this activity. You can use group policy to stop this panic situation to prevent your system from rebooting after installation of automatic updates. Steps are given as under:

  1. Go to Start menu –> Go to Run
  2. Type gpedit.msc
  3. Expand Local Computer Policy / Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / Windows Components / Windows Update
  4. Double-click "No auto-restart for scheduled Automatic Updates installations"
  5. Select "Enabled"
  6. Press OK.

Close the Group Policy configuration program and you are done with your modification and check the results when your system installs automatic updates next time (the time you set in your automatic updates).
