If you are installing Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 on Microsoft Windows 2012 R2 Server then you will surely face this issue because of a missing Application in Windows 2012 R2 Server. The issue was “Application server, IIS server configuration error”. This error occurred because ServerManagerCMD application is not given in Microsoft Windows 2012 R2 Server. The solution is given as under:

  1. Go to System32 under Windows Directory
  2. Find ServerManager application
  3. Make a copy of the file and rename it ServerManagerCMD
  4. Its Done
  5. Restart the installation process!!!
