Sending reported error (0x800CCC13) – Outlook 2013

Sending’ reported error (0x800CCC13) : ‘Unable to connect to the network. Check your network connection or modem.’ One of my client faced this issue after upgrade from windows 8.1 to windows 10. Outlook was behaving very strange. He was able to receive all the emails on multiple email account but was not able to send any email. He got this message while sending an email. Receiving the emails on all the accounts was working fine. There are several reasons of this issue given as under:

  1. A corrupt outlook PST file
  2. A bad add-on in outlook
  3. Corrupt registry key
  4. Corrupt Windows Files

I tried to repair the outlook files by using the PSTSCAN tools which couldn’t help then I disabled all the add-on from outlook still no luck. I tried to find the corrupt registry still no luck. Then I tried sfc /scannow and after a while when it finished the repair process restarted the outlook and it really helped. Run the command prompt with administrator privileges while going for this command. Share your views about this post.

  1. I just upgraded from windows 8.1 to windows 10 this morning and had the exact same problem with Microsoft Outlook 2007. I was able to receive e-mails, but I couldn’t send them.

Your solution was simple and, after allowing the scan to run through on my slow work laptop, worked brilliantly. Thanks for sharing it.
