Microsoft Windows 10 is improving on daily basis. There are lot of new features coming. Microsoft is rapidly working on many things. Windows 10 has released the update 1803. Its really great and very fast. There are lot old features which are very handy but some times scare the users. I received a support call that a system might be hacked in the local network. It was nearly impossible to be hacked in a secure environment. The border router, a security firewall and a dedicated and monitored internet connection. Microsoft endpoint protection was also working without any problem on all systems. nothing was reported as missing from the effected system. There was a complete drive showing small arrows on files and folder. the picture is given as under:

There is nothing to worry about these small arrows. Windows have a feature to compress the drive to save some precious space. This feature is not in practice because of the low cost high quality HDD/SSD available. Cloud storage is much economical and available without any problem.

You can enable this feature, just right click on the drive, go to properties. select the check box “Compress contents to save disk space”. After the disk compression process is completed, the folders and files of that drive will look like the picture given at the top. There is no need to worry if you are seeing these arrows. there is no virus in the system. system will run without any problem or slowness. It will save some extra gigabytes to store something special.
