How To Run Multiple Skype Accounts On A Single Computer?

You have heard about multi-yahoo and multi-msn but haven’t heard about using multiple Skype accounts on a single computer. Skype has given this facility and its great because sometimes you need to use more than one accounts on a single computer for multiple communications at the same time. This is valid for 4.0 version and later

In order to use more than one account on the same computer at the same time you need to start a new instance. Many people will think that its very easy to go and search for installed Skype and press the button or double click with this mouse. Here comes the tricky part and that is given as under:

From the Windows taskbar, click Start > Run (or press the Windows and R keys on your keyboard at the same time)
In the Run window, enter the following command (include the quotes) and press OK
"C:Program FilesSkypePhoneSkype.exe" /secondary

If you get any error messages, please copy and paste the exact command from this post and try again. You may can get this error if you have changed the installation directory at the installation time.

Source IP Address Is Not Valid For This Merchant

I know this post may not be useful for most sizledcore readers but I think this can help some guys working on payment gateways and payment processes. I wasted six hours to fix this issue on one of my client’s machine and the source was the public IP address of my client’s machine. This error can occur if you are using the test payment gateway of Payex in your application for credit card payment processing during testing. Your error may be something like given as under:

07e59919006b443ba466ff5fcbe1cbec2011-01-17 21:43:34Merchant_InvalidIpAddress Merchant_InvalidIpAddressSource IP Address 202.131.123.194 is not valid for this merchant.(xxxxxxxx)

xxxxxxxx is the merchant ID provided by the payex administration team for test payment gateway and will vary in every case so please ignore it and focus on the error.

Failed To Access IIS metabase.

Above error can occur if you have installed Microsoft Dot Net Framework before installation of IIS server on your local machine like windows XP. There are couple of work around available on the internet to solve this problem but they are just work around not the permanent solution. One of them is to add ASPNET user in your local administrators group and restart the IIS server. As soon as you will restart your IIS server they Microsoft Dot Net enabled applications will start working under IIS server but this will put your system under a big security risk.

Error with full description is given as under:

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.Web.Hosting.HostingEnvironmentException: Failed to access IIS metabase.

The process account used to run ASP.NET must have read access to the IIS metabase (e.g. IIS://servername/W3SVC). For information on modifying metabase permissions, please see http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=267904.

Today one of my user complained that he is not able to browse a website with https required on internet explorer 8 and getting the above error. After a short troubleshooting of the error I just found that its just a problem with the internet explorer’s settings not with anything else “I mean crash of any dll”.
